5 Ways to Keep Warm on Your Wedding Day

Hello, my beautiful brides to be,

How many of you are getting married shortly? worried about keeping warm?

I can personally relate to this, I actually got married myself in January 2005. It was freezing and it started to snow the day before, when I got married it was still very traditional looking attire whereas now you can be as creative as you like.

Rocking a biker jacket on your wedding day is pretty awesome or wearing a jumper is seen to be cool.

So here are my 5 tips to stay warm during your winter wedding.

1.  Opt For Long Sleeve Dress

If you do not want a wrap or jacket and having a winter wedding, opt for a long sleeve dress. Many bridal shops have overlays with long sleeves that can sit over a strapless wedding gown. You can then remove when indoors, basically getting 2 dresses in one.

2. Go Traditional, Faux Fur Wrap

I had faux fur jackets for my bridesmaids to keep the warm and toastie, faux fur shrugs or jackets are a great way to keep warm and tie in the winter wedding theme.  I love this jacket from Monsoon at £99.  If fur is not your thing then you could opt for a satin bolero (that's what I had, but that was the fashion back in 2005).

3. Cosy or Crochet Jumper

If a jacket is not for you why not opt for a cosy winter jumper or even have something handmade just for you, fine crochet.  Jumper are now a big trend for winter weddings and you don't even have to have it in white or ivory, you could wear any colour to match your colour scheme.

4. Dare To Be Different...Wear A Beautiful Blouse Or Biker Jacket

I love this style for the modern bride this wrap blouse looks amazing for a modern casual wedding, a great way to cover up whilst looking stylish.

Biker  jackets are on the up, even bridesmaid are now wearing them, it's a look I personally love, you could have denim too.

5. Wrap Up With A Pashmina

Pashminas are becoming a big favourite to keep warm at weddings, you could have the colour of your wedding theme or even make it something part of your something borrowed.

Do you have an alternative idea, please do share.

I wish all the best with your winter wedding and hopefully my blog has inspired you a little.

Much Love
